Every year on the first weekend in June, the Wisconsin DNR has a free fun weekend, when families can get:
- Free entry to 50 state parks, 15 state forests, and 44 state trails
- Free fishing in Wisconsin's 15,000 lakes and 84,000 miles of rivers and streams
- Free DNR trails for their designated uses, including cycling and horseback riding
- Free ATV/UTV public trails
