Hi everyone,

Oh my goodness, was my computer ever running slow today! And Little One did not take a nap! Technology and our kids know when we're busy, don't they??

How was your week? We had a busy week getting things done in order to go have fun at my sister's wedding. Little One was a miniature bride (pic below) and she did a great job for a wee one who is not quite three! She danced the night away too. I wish I could bottle her energy and sell it-- I'd be rich! We had a birthday party Friday too, so it was a busy weekend!

Our Thirty-One Gifts consultant Kelly is offering FREE shipping when you mention Macaroni Kid, so if you're thinking about ordering, now's the time! And the June specials are pretty awesome! The Large Utility Tote is $10 when you spend $35 and for the month of June ONLY -- top a tote for $10!

This week I have an article about the kids movie specials from Marcus Cinemas and Rogers Cinemas. And the Work from Home Directory is ready this week! There are some great businesses and team leaders for you to learn more about. June 14th is Flag Day, so there is an article with some info on displaying your flag and some fun facts too! There is a camping safety article with some great tips to keep kids safe (and some I hadn't thought of like marking the camp boundary!). And there is a book review and giveaway for any Dads who are history buffs. The craft this week is for a Splash Bomb, which will be loads of fun in the hot weather we're sure to have soon. And the recipe is another good one to beat the heat-- frozen fruit pops! These are great because they're just fruit, but they're delicious and SO pretty! And the Farmers Market Schedule article (I added Greenvilee and Clintonville this week), Free Museum Admission for Military Families and the Kids Bowl Free articles will all be reoccurring below the events list for the summer so you can easily reference them any time.

If you're planning an event or know of one I missed, please use the Submit an Event button and tell me about it! I'm looking for low-cost, one-time, family-friendly events with activities for kids. For those with classes and regularly-recurring activities, please email me (lauram@macaronikid.com) about putting together a custom advertising package based on your business needs.

I'd like to remind you to please support our sponsors who make this site possible. Without them, I would not be able to keep doing this week after week. So big thanks to the sponsors AND the readers! You will find information about the sponsors in the ads on the site, as well as in the "Biz Directory". There are lots of new Friends of Macaroni in the directory, so take a peek in there when you're looking for businesses to support. It's kind of like the yellow pages for Macaroni Kid readers, but with direct links to the business websites! If you'd like to see your business info in there, email me for details - lauram@macaronikid.com.

Finally, if you're new here (or haven't read it yet), check out the article on Making the Most of Your Macaroni. There are some helpful tips in there for making this site work for you. I especially LOVE the "My Macaroni" feature. Go ahead and play around with that-- it's great!

And that's the newsletter this week-- have a great week!
