Babygarten

Not Your Ordinary Play Group!

If you have a child age 2 or younger and haven't been to Babygarten, it's a must-do! Babygarten isn't an ordinary play group... the child and caretaker sing songs, do bounces, make rhymes and actions for the first 20 minutes, then it's free play time! You can read or play with toys, explore (for example, Waupaca has a pop-up tunnel, foam balls to bounce, roll through tubes or talk about their colors, plus puzzles, etc) and more!

Let me tell you parents, it's been a lifesaver for me. When my LO gets bored, we break out the Babygarten songs... at home, in the car, and even in the store! I can't tell you how many times a BG song has kept her busy so I could finish my shopping.

And it's not just the entertainment factor either... LO and I are together all the time and not very often with other kids. Babygarten lets her learn to play with other kids of different ages and abilities. She gets down on the floor with a little crawler to say hi and runs around with bigger kids. Her best pal was someone we met at Babygarten too. She is learning how to get along with other kids and how to cope when someone takes her toy or bumps into her.

So stop by Babygarten at your library. Most libraries in this area have it. If you live in Waupaca county, see below... Sue Abrahamson at the Waupaca library was very kind to compile a list of all the Babygartens at the Waupaca County libraries! Find the one nearest you and check it out!
