Latest News from MK Appleton-Stevens Point

December 1, 2011

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Wow!! This week's newsletter is loaded with stuff to make your Holidays easier and lots of fun! I have giveaways to tell you about and special offers, plus a craft and recipe and of course, lots of events! But first, if you are interested in a gluten-free/artificial food coloring-free cookie exchange, please email me, comment here or reply to the question that I posted on Facebook. If I get ohhh... say at least 6 people to participate, we'll run with it! There are two so far!

Now for the giveaways! Macaroni Kid has a North Pole edition. Mrs. Claus is Editor & Publisher there and she has been sneaking Zappos gift cards out of Santa's Bag to give away (this news broke first on our Facebook page and Twitter, so follow me there so you don't miss anything!!). And another sponsor, Stationery Market is giving away 20 FREE personalized Holiday cards to one lucky reader of Appleton-Stevens Point MK, so check out the details in that article.

Next the deals... Stationery Market is offering 20% off their personalized Holiday cards, so check the article for the code you can use for that. Also, HoneyBaked Ham's coupons are still good and you will find the coupon and a link to their website by clicking their ad in the right column.

And of course, we aren't just about getting stuff... there are some great articles for your information too! There's instructions to make a super-fun sensory table for the wee ones, homework tips for the bigger kids and a great family movie that you can check out THIS FRIDAY on NBC.

I also started an article below the craft and recipe (below the events list) about great Christmas light displays in the area, so if you know of a must-see house/street/neighborhood, let me know (comment on the article, email me, reply to your newsletter, or leave a note on Facebook) so I can add it to the list. And there is an article that lists some of your favorite Holiday movies with the dates and times that they air on TV.

In other news, I created a submit an event form so you can tell me about the family-friendly events you're planning with your school, church, community, etc., which you will find by clicking the link that I have at the top of this paragraph, or you can click the blue "ad" (it's really just a pretty link to the form) in the right column of this site. And you can now follow Appleton-Stevens Point Macaroni Kid on Twitter: @MacKidAppleton. Last week I said I barely knew what I was doing. This week I'm feeling reasonably confident!

It's going to be a busy week... have a great one!
