Warm Welcome to The Memory Market!

New Local Advertiser

October 6, 2011

I’m very happy to welcome The Memory Market to Appleton-Stevens Point Macaroni Kid! Located at 2224 Patch Street in Stevens Point, The Memory Market has a great mix of old and new treasures including antiques, collectibles, funky junk, vintage favorites, recycled décor and green finds.

This adorable little store has been in the current owners’ family for years, first as Billerback Grocery, then Morton Grocery until 1977. Now a collectibles store, it offers unique gifts and memories from the past. Co-owner Jacquie Morton loves participating in the green movement by offering interesting pieces for reuse and tells me that they bring in new items weekly and are selective about them. The Memory Market has a passion for helping people clean up their homes while helping others find special treasures that make their faces light up, while regularly proving that “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure”.

The Memory Market received a makeover in November 2010, so if you haven’t been there recently, you should check back in! The makeover has gotten great reviews from regular customers. The store is open Thursday and Friday 10-2 and Saturday 9-2, or by appointment (715-344-2106) and Jacquie is ready to offer her expertise acquired during her time as an advertising manager at Antique Trader and Antique Week magazines, as is co-owner Judy Bablitch, who has been an established antiques and collectibles dealer for more than 20 years.

The Memory Market is currently running a fall sale for 33-1/3% off, so don’t wait if you’re thinking about stopping by. Be sure to tell them that Macaroni Kid sent you!
