By Laura Miller October 6, 2011

Have you seen the new look of Eggland’s Best eggs? From now until November 15, 2011, Eggland’s Best eggs will be decked out in a pink “EB” as well as the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Running Ribbon in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AND Eggland's Best is donating $50,000 to help support Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s efforts to keep the promise made to Susan to do everything possible to stop breast cancer.

How can you reduce your risk of breast cancer and other cancers?

All of the advice about how to protect yourself from the risk of breast cancer is also great advice for a healthy overall lifestyle, so fellas, take note too!

  • Make exercise a part of your daily routine (30 minutes most days)
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Limit alcohol intake
  • Eat a balance diet that includes fresh fruits and veggies, lean proteins, dairy and whole grains
  • Get regular health screening, including breast exams and mammograms

Why are Eggland’s Best eggs are better than ordinary eggs?

Eggland’s Best eggs will help you in the path to your healthy lifestyle because in just 70 calories per egg, you will also get 10 times more Vitamin E, 3 times more Vitamin B12 and 2 times more Vitamin D (which all of us in Wisconsin need more of!) plus 2 times more Omega 3, 35% more lutein and 25% less fat and more folate and iodine than regular eggs… all this thanks to the all-natural, all vegetarian diet for their chickens that are also free of all hormones, steroids and antibiotics! Whoo! That’s a lotta bang for a little egg-buck! These valuable nutrients are also thought to be helpful in reducing the risk of cancer.
